| Following graduation from IHS John attended and
graduated from the Appalachian Bible College, Beckley, WVa. He later
attended Kent State University. John served pastorates from 1972-1986 in
Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and California. In 1986 John founded More Than A Carpenter, a nationally certified remodeling firm. As president he traveled to Washington DC in 2000 and was honored by Remodeling Magazine as one of the "Big 50" remodeling firms in the US. John and Kay(Gaylor), his wife since 1972, live in Berkeley, California. Both are active members of First Presbyterian Church, Berkeley. John serves in the Rotary Club of Berkeley and was named by Rotary Internation as a Paul Harris Fellow. They have three "wonderful" children, Julia, Rebecca, and John. |
