| After graduation, I worked for the Chesapeake & Ohio
Railway at Russell, KY until 1968 when I was promoted to management & moved to the Baltimore, Maryland headquarters. I relocated numerous times during the next thirty-two years, primarily working in sales & marketing. During the most recent ten years in Jacksonville, FL, I wrote briefs (submissions) & argued arbitration cases before the National Railroad Adjustment Board & Public Law Boards. I represented CSXT management in disputes with labor unions. I married Brenda Kelly of Jacksonville, FL in 1989 & have one daughter (from an earlier marriage), Angela, who is married, lives in Leesburg, VA & has two children. I recently was able to retire early (age 57) & am very active in church ministry. I lead a small group of couples in Bible study at my home & plan to start a biblical counseling ministry at my church later this year. I find this very worthwhile & rewarding work. I feel very fortunate to have been raised & educated in Ironton & have many fond memories of my childhood & my classmates.
