Remote Learning Option

The Ironton City School District will conduct its courses both in remote and in-person formats for the 2020-2021 school year. This Remote Learning Contract sets out the requirements and expectations that will be in place for students who select remote learning. In order to plan the logistics and staffing of both options, parents/guardians who intend for their child participate in remote learning must complete and submit the Remote Learning Contract by July 31, 2020. The choice to participate in remote learning will be made on a semester basis. Similarly, students who elect to begin the school year with in person instruction will not be permitted to transition to remote learning until the semester break. Required documentation for participation includes the following: Signed Ironton City School District Acceptable Use Agreement,Signed 2020-2021 Remote Learning Contract, Documented reliable access to the Internet, Signed 1:1 Initiative Agreement Form. Additionally participation in a virtual intake meeting will be required and will be conducted prior to the start of the school year.
