OHIO HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS MANDATES & BEST PRACTICES RELEASED

The Governor’s Office and the Ohio Department of Health released mandates and recommended best practices regarding sports on Wednesday, August 19, 2020.  The measures contained in that order will provide the best possible opportunities for our student athletes, band/guard members, cheer squad, and spectators.
The following represents critical mandates in the order pertaining to spectators:
• Facility capacity is limited to 15% of seats available
• Six feet social distancing (members of the same household may forego social distancing)
• Facial coverings (masks required)
• Individuals experiencing COVID-19 symptom must not attend

The capacity of Tanks Stadium under the new guidance is 603 spectators (422 Home/181 Visitors).   The capacity of the Conley Center will be limited to 255 spectators.  Tickets to High School Football games will not be presold or available at the gate on the day of the event.   Following the Governor’s recommendations and our core belief in providing spectator access to the families of our participants first and foremost, tickets will be distributed for sale to our players, band/guard members, and cheerleaders in order that their parents may see them perform.  Tickets for High School and Middle School Volleyball games will be sold at the event.   We recognize that the capacity limitations will prohibit many of our dedicated fans from attending live events.  However, we are encouraged by the fact that our students will have the opportunity to participate.  Thank you for your understanding and support of OUR IRONTON FIGHTING TIGERS!  GO TIGERS!!!
