District Headlines

    Dear Parents and Staff:

Ironton Schools has been notified that a student who attends Ironton Middle School has tested positive for COVID-19.

Our classrooms, common areas, and buses have been deeply sanitized.  Our students and staff have been dutiful in adhering to facial covering protocols and social distancing mitigation strategies.  It has been determined that the level of exposure, less than 6 feet for more than 15 minutes, has not been violated in this situation.

Out of an abundance of caution, we advise you to monitor your students’ health, follow the CDC guidelines for people who have had close contact and contact you primary care physician if you develop symptoms.

ICSD is continuing to monitor this situation and will provide additional information as needed.  We hope for a successful recovery for our IMS student.

    Sincerely,

    Joseph Geletka, Superintendent
