Congratulations to the following 7th and 8th graders who were recently chosen to represent Ironton Middle School in the Lawrence County Quiz Bowl League.
7th Grade Team Members:
Connor McDaniel, Phoenix Payne, and Hunter Freeman
8th Grade Team Members:
Jake Kinkade (2nd Year Member), Caleb Brown (2nd Year Member), Jones Taylor (2nd Year Member), Trevor Kleinman, Ben Taylor, Eddie Faddis, and Ethan White
All students in the 7th and 8th grade were given a quiz bowl qualifier test with the top 10 highest scorers on the test selected as IMS Quiz Bowl team members.
The season will kick off October 10 with the team traveling to South Point Middle School. This year’s home matches will be October 24 against Fairland, November 7 against St. Joe, November 14 against Symmes Valley and November 28 against Chesapeake. The county tournament will be held at the Ohio University-Southern Campus January 7, 2019. The IMS Quiz Bowl coach is Rick McMaster.
