
Mission Statement
The mission of the Ironton City Schools, a system dedicated to excellence and community pride, is to provide quality education assuring every student achieves his/her maximum potential, through a challenging curriculum provided by highly qualified, dedicated employees, in a safe environment, in partnership with parents and community.
Strategies
We will develop and implement a comprehensive K-12 integrated computer/technology program.
We will develop and implement an aggressive revenue enhancement program
We will develop and implement programs to modernize the school district’s facilities.
We will develop and implement in-service programs for all employees and volunteers.
We will develop and implement a career awareness program for all students.
We will develop and implement partnership programs to involve parents and community.
We will develop and implement plans to create a unified school district/community.

Objectives
To graduate 100% of the senior class.
To have all students meet or exceed state mandated testing goals at all grade levels.
To have 100% of Ironton graduates be employed, in the military, or in post-graduate studies within six months of graduation.
To have all students demonstrate basic computer skills by the end of 3rd grade, intermediate skills by the end of 8th grade, and advanced skills upon graduation.
To have 70% of all students reading at grade level at the end of kindergarten, 80% 1st grade, 90% 2nd grade, 100% 3rd grade.
