BOARD POLICY 1460

Ironton Academic Boosters Club

Introduction

The Ironton City Board of Education believes that the primary purposes or functions of the schools are best served when all of Ironton’s students, K-12, are expected to and provided excellence in education.

In order to achieve this, the assistance of many individuals and groups is essential. This includes the Board of Education, the Administration, the teaching and support staffs, the parents, and the general citizenry of the City of Ironton. Thus, this requires the cooperation of many, including groups whose primary purpose is to support quality education.

Acceptance

The Ironton City Board of Education therefore officially recognizes and acknowledges the existence of the Ironton Academic Boosters Club, whose primary purpose is to assist, when and where possible, in fostering and boosting the academic programs and functions in the Ironton City Schools. The Ironton City Board of Education hereby pledges its full support and cooperation to and with the IABC in all matters pertaining to excellence in education in the Ironton City Schools.
