Tuition for Non-Resident Students

Any student who attends one of the Ironton City Public Schools and who does not live within the official boundaries of the Ironton City School District will be required to, with certain legal exceptions, to pay tuition to the Ironton City School District at a monthly rate based upon the actual per pupil costs in the district as determined by the Treasurer of this Board.

Exceptions to this Policy as stated in O.R.C. Section 3313.64 (as well as the definition of "parent" therein) will be observed by the Ironton City School District, as will all Ohio laws dealing with the tuition of students. Those students accepted under inter-district enrollment procedures are another exception to this tuition policy.
