Lunch Hour Duties – Elementary Schools

 

                It shall be the responsibility of the principal of each of the elementary schools in the Ironton City School District to conduct and supervise the breakfast and lunch periods in his/her school.  Under this arrangement, the teachers therein will have an uninterrupted (free of duty) lunch period.

 

                In the absence of the principal, the principal may designate a member of the certified staff to serve in this duty in his/her stead in order that the breakfast and lunch programs will be properly conducted and supervised.

 

                It shall be also be the responsibility of the principal of each elementary school to make provisions for the discipline and student control in his/her building and/or on the grounds during the lunch hour.
