Extra-Curricular Duties

 

                Continuing contracts and limited contracts issued by the Ironton City School District provide for assignments of extra-curricular duties to teachers.  When the teacher signs his contract, he/she is expected to cooperate with the administration in this respect.

 

                The administrator must take into consideration the total work load of teachers when planning sponsorship of extra-curricular activities.  Extra-curricular activities must be properly supervised in the school program if it is to operate in an efficient manner.

 

                The administrator must determine extra-curricular duties for which extra pay should be received.  Most extra-curricular duties assigned to teachers are temporary in nature and this will fall into the category of a temporary assignment.  Each teacher is required and expected to participate and to share his/her just load of extra-curricular duties.
