Securing and Assigning Substitute Teachers

 

                The Superintendent shall maintain a list of qualified substitutes as they are hired by the Ironton City Board of Education.

 

                Substitute teachers will be assigned on the basis of their qualifications and certification in the subject areas of the teacher for whom a substitute is needed.

 

                Individual school principals will have the responsibility for evaluating substitute teachers.

 

                The secretary to the Superintendent shall have the responsibility for securing a substitute from the approved list in grades K-8.  The secretary to the high school principal shall do the same for grades 9 through 12.
