BOARD POLICY 4131.1
Compensation for Increased Training By Certified Personnel
Effective May
29,1982, it shall become the Policy of the Ironton City Board of Education to
increase (between certain specified
dates) the salary of any regular or full-time certified employee for the successful
completion of such college or university training as will entitle the employee
to advance to a higher pay-scale or bracket in the Ironton City School System.
Said employee is
to notify the Ironton City Superintendent of Schools in writing of the
completion of such qualifying training, and the notification shall include a
college or university transcript of such work.
Notification, along with official transcript of credit, shall be filed
only between June 1 and the following October 10 of any given year, beginning
with the calendar year of 1982. The
afore-mentioned dates represent the approximate date at the end of the regular
school term (June 1), and the date on which
SF 1 Report is sent (October
10) to the State Department of Education for the new school year.
Official
notification, accompanied by college or university transcripts of credit, and
filed after June 1, and prior to October 10 of any given year, shall allow such
pay increase as is permissible under the then existing salary schedule as
adopted by the Ironton City Board of Education, and the increase in pay shall
become effective on the first of the month after authorization by the Ironton
City Superintendent of Schools.
