Administrative Secretary and Payroll Assistant
A. Responsible to: Superintendent
B. General Duties:
Serve as administrative secretary to the Superintendent and the Assistant Superintendent as well
as assistant to the payroll clerk.
C. Qualifications:
1. Training and experience on computers.
2. Proficiency in the use of the written English language.
3. Proficiency in the use of office equipment.
4. Ability to work cooperatively and confidentially with all school personnel.
5. Ability to organize information, follow through with minimal supervision, and meet established
deadlines.
6. Ability to establish and maintain an efficient filing system.
D. Specific Duties:
Administrative Secretary
a. Complete various state and federal forms as directed.
b. Write letters, memos, notices, electronic messages, etc.
c. Assist with the communication between central office and building administration.
d. Assist with the coordination of committee meetings and other.
e. Compose the Board agenda and compile appropriate material as directed.
f. Maintain appropriate filing system.
g. Assist with special projects and activities as directed.
h. Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.
Payroll Assistant
a. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the computer payroll system.
b. Perform duties pertaining to the payroll as assigned by the Payroll Clerk.
