Job Description

 

I.J.H.S. Academic Quiz Bowl Advisor

 

A.      Responsible to:  I.J.H.S. Principal

 

B.       Function:  To direct all Junior High Quiz Bowl activities and supervision of team members.

 

C.       Duties:

 

  1. Attending at least two countywide meetings with other junior high school Quiz Bowl Advisors.

 

  1. Publicizing and holding team tryouts and selecting final members.

 

  1. Responsible for scheduling seven home meets and attending seven away meets.

 

  1. Responsible for acquiring van and driving van with team members to away meets.

 

  1. Procure a judge from the junior high school staff for all home meets.

 

  1. Responsible for the security of meet questions until the time of the meet.

 

  1. Set appropriate standards and rules of decorum and behavior for team members.

 

  1. Responsible for keeping the Junior High School Principal apprised of all team activities related to the Quiz Bowl within a timely manner.

 

  1. Perform other duties within the general scope of the job that may be requested by the Junior High School Principal.
