BOARD POLICY 5111.8
Adult High School Students
A. The Ironton City Board of Education will grant a high school diploma of adult education to any
applicant if all the following apply:
1. The applicant is a resident of the district;
2. The applicant is over the age of twenty-one and has not been issued a diploma;
3. The applicant has obtained the required scores on the proficiency tests;
4. The district determines the applicant has met requirements for graduation as established by the Ironton City Board of Education.
B. If the Board determines that an applicant is not eligible for a diploma it shall so inform the applicant of
the reasons. An applicant may reapply under this policy.
C. The diploma shall be in such form as the Board prescribes and will be signed by the Board President,
the Treasurer, and the Superintendent.
