Rules and Regulations Governing Strikes
1. All schools awards, offices, or special recognition shall be forfeited by strike participants for the
duration of the school year. No student is eligible for National Honor Society who at any time during his/her high school career has participated in a school strike.
2. Students who participate in a school strike shall be required to make up outside of school hours double
the time missed.
3. Students who participate in a strike shall be ineligible to participate in any school athletic contest or
any other organized activity for the remainder of the school year.
4. Students who provoke, incite, or encourage a strike shall be liable for expulsion from the school for the
remainder of the school year. Legal warrants will be obtained leading to arrest for agitators charged under State laws with inciting a riot.
5. Students absent from school during a strike will be considered as strike participants unless an affidavit
sworn to by parents is presented as proof that the student was at home ( or accounted for) and was
never associated with any strike agitators or participants for the duration of the strike.
6. Any person or persons will be held responsible individually and collectively for any damage to property or personal injury caused by activity resulting from encouraging or participating in a school strike and such person or persons will be referred to civil authorities.
