Damage to School Property

 

1.        Teachers must report to their principal any and all willful damages to school properties.

 

2.    The principal and the teacher must make every effort to find the person responsible for

       damage to school property.

 

3.        If the guilty student is found, he/she shall, according to Board Policy, make complete

restitution by paying for such damages, and in addition, may receive punishment

commensurate with the act of damage, at the discretion of the principal.

 

4.        In extreme willful cases, or damage cases of some magnitude, the Superintendent must be

notified and given a detailed account of the case,  His action is to be commensurate with the act of damage.

 

Damage to School Property

 

It shall be the policy of the Ironton City Board of Education to ensure the proper care of

all school properties within the District.  Be it therefore noted that any student or other person or group who negligently or willfully damages or defaces school property shall be required to pay in full for said damages.  In addition to this payment, it shall be the prerogative of the building principal or the Superintendent to add other reasonable penalties as punishment for damages caused by the student within this system.
