Facilities
The Ironton City Board of Education makes it a Policy of providing facilities commensurate with the needs of the student and staff. The facilities shall be sufficient to accommodate the enrollment and will be adequate for school purposes, based upon the Board’s Philosophy and its Goals and Objectives as contained in Policy. Facilities will be of a quality and quantity necessary to support the learning relative to the objectives specified in the courses of study.
The facilities shall also be adequate for counseling and guidance services, and for the isolation of ill pupils. Too, facilities will be provided for staff work-place, with available telephone service, rest areas, and rooms for private conferences.
It is also the policy of this Board of Education to see to it that the buildings and grounds are well kept and well maintained and are kept safe for students and staff, with regard to fire and other health hazards. The buildings and grounds shall be inspected regularly by both school officials and outside inspectors in order that the school buildings and grounds are safe and in good repairs, as well as clean and sanitary.
It is the policy, and the intent of the Board and Administration, that the Ironton City Schools be kept in such manner and condition that they do provide an excellent environment and atmosphere for learning.
Sufficient funds will be budgeted and allocated to assure the meeting of the provisions of this Policy.
