Terms of Office  9120

 

                The terms of office of members of the Ironton City Board of Education shall begin on the first day of January after their election and each such officer shall hold his/her office for four (4) years, except as otherwise provided by law.  Four-year terms of office shall expire on December thirty-first (31), except as otherwise provided by law.

 

Oath of Office

 

                Before entering upon the duties of his/her office each person elected or appointed as member of the Ironton City Board of Education shall take an oath to support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of this State and that he/she will perform faithfully the duties of his/her office.  Such oath may be administered by the Treasurer or any member of the Board or any notary public.
