The board may be resolution, set aside a sum not to exceed two dollars ($2.00) per student, or $20,000 whichever is greater to establish a service fund. The fund is to be used to pay expenses actually incurred in the performance of the duties of the board members, members elect, or their official. The service fund is designated to allow board members or their representatives greater participation in inservice training, workshops, conferences, and conventions, and to cover in-district expenses.
