Method of Voting

 

                Voting by individual members shall be by voice vote, using “aye” for an affirmative vote, and “nay” for a negative vote.  Roll call is required to adopt resolutions dealing with any of the following:

 

     1.   The purchase or sale of real or personal property.

     2.   The employment of a superintendent, principal, teacher, or any other school employee.

     3.   The payment of any debt or claim.

     4.   The adoption of any textbook.

 

                Any member of the board may demand a roll call on any motion or resolution.  A board president is not required to give up the chair to make and second motions.
