During any regular or special meeting of this board, the board may, by the agreement of members present, retire from the meeting room for a time to discuss privately matters of concern to this board. No official action may be taken in executive sessions.
Executive sessions may be held at the regular or special meeting and only after the meeting is officially convened in open session for the sole purpose of:
1. The appointment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, or compensation of an employee or the
investigation of charges against an employee or regulated individual unless the employee or
regulated individual requests a public hearing.
2. The purchase of property for public purposes or the sale of property at competitive bidding.
3. Disputes which are subject to pending or imminent court action in conference with an attorney.
4. Preparing for, conducting, or reviewing negotiations or bargaining sessions with employees.
5. Matters required to be kept confidential by federal or state statutes.
6. Specialized details of security arrangements.
