Ironton High's Message to the Future! Celebrating America 250 with Time Capsule Dedication

What an amazing day! IHS Welcomed Ironton Mayor Cramblett, America 250 LC Chair Rich Donohue, Superintendent McCorkle and members of the Sons of the American Revolution reenactors .

The student body marked this event with a time capsule burial set to be opened in 2076, the 300th birthday of America! To celebrate, students were treated with a cookout and games on the front lawn! The IHS cooks served an amazing lunch on the front lawn. Collins' Healthy Foods teacher Mrs. Lintner ,provided home made cookies while Mr. Cronacher worked the grill!

Special thanks to Mrs. Crawford for securing a service learning grant to make this all happen! Mayor Cramblett proclaimed it America 250 week in the city of Ironton. Many items were put in the capsule as gifts to the students and teachers of the future!
